Chaparral's Extended V-Plane running surface delivers all-around performance that is exciting yet efficiently affordable. From the stainless steel hardware to the premium vinyls, to the Kevlar reinforcement, attention to detail is first rate with quality to match.
ON THE WATER
With a wide array of six and eight-cylinder engine options ranging from 220 to 300 horsepower, the 216 offers one of the best power-to-weight ratios in the family bowrider market. Extended V-Plane performance provides bullish low-end pulling power for water sports and excellent efficiency in the midrange for cruising. Additionally, because the bottom extends full length, the actual running surface is up to 16 inches longer than what you'll find on a leading rival with a comparable overall centerline length.
ANCHOR LOCKER
The forward anchor locker has room for a line and chain. A secure bracket prevents the anchor from rattling and the hinges are flush mounted for secure footing.
BOW LOCKER
The most user-friendly bow design in boating includes a wide flat non-skid walkway, recessed speakers, hideaway drink holders, top-mounted rails and full height backrest cushions. An optional filler cushion converts the bow area to a sun lounge.
BOW STORAGE
Everywhere you look there's cargo space including the spacious lockers under the bow seats. An insulated ice chest is mounted forward for easy access to everyone on board.
BUCKET SEAT
Our standard lumbar-supported bucket seats can be upgraded to the Premium option which has adjustment controls in the armrests. Recessed fiberglass gunwales are accented with padded armrests, stainless grab rails and drink holders.
COCKPIT STORAGE
Aft, the U-shaped cockpit seat extends full width and features easy-to-maintain molded under-seat storage along with best-in-class legroom.
CONSOLE STORAGE
Large items like fenders and lifejackets stow easily in the console storage areas. Note the stereo unit is mounted out of the elements and the storage compartment door swings out to create a protective wind break between the bow and cockpit. A tight fitting one-piece bow door doesn't rattle like bi-fold doors.
ENGINE ACCESS
A heat retardent shield and acoustical foam line the engine hatch cover.
Note the dedicated removable Igloo cooler storage area.
GLOVE BOX
A locking glove box provides secure storage for pocket money, keys and other valuables. USB and MP3 jacks along with a DC power point allow you to bring your personal music player onboard. Finally, removable Berber carpet is easier to maintain than rivals that use either glued carpet or raw fiberglass.
GRAB HANDLE
The most space efficient cockpit design in family boating features padded gunwale armrests and recessed grab handles. The 216 has an 11-passenger capacity, a leading rival with comparable centerline length comes up short at only eight.
HELM
Our custom molded helm features analog gauges, a digital hour meter, loom wrapped wiring, dual illuminated LED rocker switches and water resistant circuit breakers instead of fuses. Our glass lens, fog-resistant gauges feature stainless steel bezels.
INFLOOR STORAGE
The floor locker is wide enough for wakeboards and has a gas-assist lid for one-handed access. An integrated molded drainage system with a protective rubber floor mat help protect your valuable investment in water sports equipment.
LADDER
A three-step telescopic boarding ladder mounts in it's own compartment and features a top-rung grab handle. Mounting the ladder on the starboard side allows the driver to easily monitor anyone in the water trying to get onboard.
SIDE PANELS
One of the unique design innovations of our SSi Wide Tech Series is the recessed molded fiberglass gunwales. Padded armrests extend full length and the stainless steel grab handles are positioned within reach for those seated in the back seat or a bucket seat swiveled aft.
SUN LOUNGE
A richly padded sun lounge easily converts to a chaise lounge by simply adjusting the standard three-position walk-thru cushion.
SUN PAD
The richly padded transom area is perfect for stretching out and working on your sun tan.
TRANSOM PLATFORM
Our low profile integrated swim platform features a protective wraparound rub rail and recessed hardware. Diamond Lustre non-skid is standard and a logo mat is available as optional equipment. Dual fuel fills allow you to fill-up easily no matter where the pump is.
WALK-THRU
A versatile transom walk-thru keeps soggy footprints off the upholstery and invites sure-footed movement from the bow to the stern. Floor storage in the walk-thru keeps water sports equipment handy for anyone using the integrated swim platform.
