ON THE WATER
Everything that makes the Sunesta lifestyle special gets bigger and better on our 284 flagship. Motor to the top of the line and enjoy a family bowrider that is perfect for cruising, watersports, entertaining and venturing to far off ports. Engine options from 375 to 430 horsepower allow you to dial in the perfect performance package for your needs. Extended V-Plane performance delivers dry, secure and agile ride.

An optional arch tower is part of the 284's fashion statement. Available in black or white, the tower includes a top-mounted ski pylon and tri-colored LED mood lighting. A color coordinated Bimini provides welcome protection when the summer sun is beaming down.

THE SUNESTA LIFESTYLE
If there was ever the perfect family sportdeck, the 284 is it. The boat has an enclosed head, massive L-shaped cockpit seating and Extended V-Plane performance. A well equipped standard equipment list is enhanced with customized options including a transom grill, underwater lights, thru-hull exhaust and an upgraded sound system.

The 284 sets a high quality standard with stainless steel hardware, Dura-Life Max upholstery, Diamond Lustre non-skid, a self bailing cockpit drainage system and a protective stainless steel rub rail. Starlite seat bases repel water. Chaparral's time-tested Quad Radial lamination system is highlighted with Kevlar reinforcement for bullet-proof extra strength and fuel efficient weight.

BOW LADDER
Despite the 284's dry riding freeboard you'll never have a problem getting back onboard, even when pulled up on a sandy beach. A handy four-step telescopic bow ladder stows in its own compartment has a comfortable top-rung grab handle. Note the wide non-skid walkway and retractable navigation light. Diamond Lustre non-skid ensures secure footing and is easy to keep clean.

BOW SEATING
Let the good times flow. The 284's unique bow layout includes a port side chaise lounge and a dual wide forward facing seat to starboard. A reassuring stainless steel rail surrounds the bow area. Full height backrests provide maximum comfort.

BOW LOUNGE
Ah the good life. The chaise lounge bow seats have comfortable backrest cushions and lumbar support. A fold out armrest combines with high quality wraparound stainless steel safety rails for ultimate comfort. Stainless steel drink holders and stereo speakers are recessed and never in the way. Snap in carpet is optional.

BOW STORAGE
Storage space is endless. You'll find a huge locker under the port bow seat with an insulated ice chest forward. One of the 284's two infloor lockers is also located in the bow so large items like fenders and lifejackets stow out of the way.

BOW TABLE
At the flick of a switch you can extend the double-wide seat for even more capacity. Insert the standard side mount table and you've got the perfect place for an afternoon snack. Even fully extended, there's still room for easy passage to the cockpit. An optional insert cushion converts the starboard seat to a sunpad.

INFLOOR STORAGE
There isn't a family bowrider on the water today that can match the 284's cargo space. An extra infloor storage locker is mounted in the bow area and is ideal for stowing large oversized items. Storage is also available under the seats and in the starboard console.

CONSOLE STORAGE
The starboard console has dual doors. The large hinged door blocks wind coming into the cockpit. The smaller inner door secures the storage area so nothing ever blows out. Note the stereo command console mounts out of the elements with a flush mount remote on the dash.

HELM
Enjoy a feeling of total control at a custom designed helm that brilliantly mixes style, function and comfort. Nitrogen filled, glass lens digital gauges have stainless steel bezels and are fog resistant. Illuminated Power On rocker switches are mounted on glare resistant aluminum panels and are easily identifiable even at night. Circuit breakers, not fuses, work with triple O-ring connectors for durability and easy servicing. A 531 Garmin GPS is standard. An instrument dimmer switch lets you dial in the perfect lighting conditions.

BUCKET SEAT
Our optional Premium bucket seats have lumbar support and a flip-up front cushion. Swivel and fore/aft adjustment controls are conveniently located in the armrests.

HEAD
The 284 has the roomiest and most well appointed head design in family boating. A full-sized cabinet, lockable privacy door and mirror are standard. A standard opening portlight aids ventilation and high quality teak and holly flooring adds a nautical touch. Upgraded Pump-out, VacuFlush and macerator options are available.

PORT SEATING
Optional Premium bucket seats provide excellent ride comfort and stability in demanding water conditions. Lever controls in the armrests allow swivel and fore/aft adjustments.

INFLOOR STORAGE
Wide enough to store wakeboards and a neighborhood's worth of carry-ons, the cockpit floor locker has a molded channel drainage system, an insulated lid and a rubber floor mat protector. Despite its size, you can enjoy one-handed access thanks to a stainless steel gas assist shock.

COCKPIT STORAGE
You can't imagine a bigger storage compartment than the enormous locker under the cockpit seats. Note that even with dedicated table storage there's still more than enough room for everything you and your family will carry onboard.

WET BAR
Optional for 2012, some would call it a wet bar but you'll call it a cockpit galley beyond compare. Features include a solid surface countertop, sink with a pull-out want faucet, a trash receptacle and a party-sized slide-out cooler. Add an optional grill and enjoy gourmet cuisine all weekend long.

BATTERY SWITCH
Mounted conveniently near the transom for easy access, the 284 comes standard with a dual battery setup and a crossover switch. Other safety-minded extras include an automatic bilge pump, electro polished stainless steel thru-hull fittings, a PVC rub rail with a stainless insert and recessed navigation lights. An automatic fire extinguishing system and Quick and Quiet thru-hull exhaust are available as optional equipment.

COCKPIT TABLE
The standard side mount table can do double duty in the cockpit. Built-in drink holders are part of a large secure table that is ideal for light snacks and within arm's reach of the cockpit galley.

WALK-THRU
All Sunestas have transom walk-thru access so soggy footprints never add unwanted wear and tear on the upholstery. Snap in carpet is available as optional equipment, as is a color coordinated logo mat.

PLATFORM SEATING
The integrated swim platform is perfectly suited for family fun and an ideal launching pad for water sports. The aft facing lounge seat is enhanced with stainless steel drink holders and secure grab handles. Diamond Lustre non-skid is easier to clean than silica surfaces and a logo mat is optional.

AFT SUN LOUNGE
The 284's standard Powerslide aft seat converts to a full length sun lounge at the mere flick of a switch. The forward cushion can be angled to create a chaise lounge.

PLATFORM COOLER
A large insulated cooler is located on the port side of the integrated platform so cold drinks are available at water level. A gas assist shock provides support for a RTM lid that has a smooth fiberglass underside showcasing the 284's high quality fit and finish. Mounted near the cooler are the optional remotes for the stereo and transom trim, along with the optional stainless steel shower and the port side fuel fill.

PLATFORM LADDER
Safety minded, mounting the transom boarding ladder on the starboard side allows the driver to keep a watchful eye on anyone in the water. The telescopic ladder stows in its own compartment, is angled for easy access and has a top rung grab handle for added security.
