For close to the same price as a traditional, roto-molded kayak, you can now have a boat manufactured out of Thermoformed Plastic (TFP). Thermoformed Plastics offer performance approaching that of expensive composite construction (such as Kevlar or Carbon Fiber) at a fraction of the cost. Prices for Hurricane Trylon™ kayaks are often 40%-50% less than comparable models made of a composite material and only slightly more than traditional roto-molded polyethylene construction. Thus, Hurricane Kayaks offer tremendous value. We welcome these refinements to the product line, particularly since the prices are still the best in the business.
